Summary: It was a great honour to be appointed as the photographer of Mr. Mah’s second son’s wedding day at Taiping. Although I’ve came to know Eric’s dad first before I’ve met the couple, I have to admit certain nervousness inside me during the 2 1/2 hour drive to Taiping to meet them. It is rather first time experience for me to meet the couple on the night before their wedding for the first time. I usually meet with my wedding clients weeks before their big day for better understanding of them. However, my nervousness soon disappear when I was greeted with their warm hospitality to me. I felt not like a photographer on job but rather as a guest to their wedding. They are such kind people. They’ve also arranged great place for me to rest for the night with the window view across the famous Taiping park. The big day started with great clear sky in the morning, it was beautiful throughout the day. Taiping is a small town but its history of heritage fascinates me, especially with all the buildings that is left from its colonial era still remain. I always find people from small town such as this tend to be more happier than the actual couple that is getting marry. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a good thing. At least from the viewfinder of a photographer’s camera, a lot of great moments to captured. The bride is beautiful and I can see why the groom is such a sweetheart to her especially from their proposal video shown at the dinner, it was sweet and I don’t see how it will fail its mission of melting the heart to whom being proposed. It’s certainly one of the wedding to remember in my list of favourite wedding in year 2013.
